Kodi is an open-source media center and used as an entertainment hub for watching movies, streaming live television and listening to music. Previously called XBMC, Kodi supports keyboard shortcuts, remote controls and user-created add-ons. It works on PC, Mac OS X, Android, iOS, Linux, Raspberry Pi and other devices such as BSD. Kodi comes with an easy-to-navigate and responsive interface, including stock and downloadable skins to customize the experience. It works as a standalone player or as a streamable device to cast music, movies and photos to the TV over Wi-Fi. Once installed, it can scan the device for media and create a library complete with descriptions, box covers and more.
